Plans of Management
Gondwana Consulting offers expertise and extensive experience in the preparation of management plans and related planning documents for areas ranging from major/extensive national parks and Aboriginal lands, through natural and cultural heritage reserves, to small urban bushland and open space or recreation areas.
Gondwana Consulting offers extensive experience in planning within the guidelines of the various state-based conservation land management, natural resources and environmental planning/protection legislation,-as well as working with relevant comparable national legislation. Both Directors have considerable recent experience in preparing plans of management consistent with the requirements of the NSW Local Government Act as well as in accordance with the NSW Crown Lands Act. We have also prepared plans of management covering mixed tenure/manager areas and addressing both pieces of legislation.
Together, the Directors of Gondwana Consulting have prepared, or directed the preparation of over 50 plans of management or related documents, specifically:
14 management plans for bushland reserves, parks and open space areas, a wildlife refuge, and an aquatic reserve in metropolitan Sydney;
plans of management for 10 national parks/reserves across NSW, as well as reviewing several other draft national park plans of management;
16 plans of management for national parks/reserves throughout the Northern Territory;
7 management plans for disused railway corridors in western Victoria for the Department of Conservation and Environment; and
3 operationally-focused management plans or action plans.
